Stephen Ministry is world-wide ecumenical ministry open to all in the community.

This Ministry was named for St. Stephen, the first lay person commissioned by the apostles to care for the needs of the people in the Christian community.

Stephen Ministers are caregivers... "Encourage the faint hearted, help the weak, be patient with all." 1 Thessalonians 5:14b NRSV

Our church has established and active Stephen Ministry serving members in our congregation and our local community. All our Stephen Leaders and Stephen Ministers are lay persons who have received in depth training in how to provide Christian Care and share God's love with someone who is hurting. Stephen Ministers are lay Christians who provide confidential, one-to-one care to individuals facing life challenges or difficulties. 200px-ststephen giacomocavedone
