What is Lord's Acre?

In the days of western expansion in the United States, it was often the  custom of local farmers to donate to their church the harvest – or  proceeds from the harvest – of one of their acres of crop land. Thus was  born the concept of the Lord's Acre, which we build upon today. It is  an amazing event that fosters congregational unity as well as raises funds for our community. We will use the proceeds from the sale of the many  handcrafted and donated items given to our Lord's Acre to support organizations in our community as well as missions of our church.  Visit The Lord's Acre of First UMC on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 beginning at 9:00am at the Central Social District (215 E. Van Alstyne Parkway; Van Alstyne, TX  75495)

11 AM -1 PM Lunch Ticket $5.00 (includes entree, chips and water)

How can you participate?

We want EVERYONE of all ages to participate in Lord's Acre!
Make handcrafted items you can donate to the Live Auction (value of $50 or more) or Country Store (value less than $50).
Donate  new items, services or gift certificates for the Live or Silent Auction  or Country Store. Sign up to work on one of the many committees. 
There is definitely a place for YOU!
